I am sharing of some lessons in life and leadership passed down among hundreds of poems through my family to yours.
At this time of Thanksgiving and the Holidays, this blog series is a tribute to my grandfather, Robert Harsha Davidson, and a sharing of some lessons in life and leadership passed down among hundreds of poems through my family to yours. Please enjoy his wisdom and share it with credit to him. May you have and be the role model he was to my family and me.
A Free Ride
by Robert Harsha Davidson
(1890-1983)
Make your work your hobby –
And ride, cowboy, ride!
Stick right in the saddle
From dawn ‘til eventide.
Make your work-time play-time –
And join in with a zest!
Thus you’ll learn work’s meaning
And what it means to rest.
Form the working habit –
Then practice it with pride.
Make your work your hobby
And ride it, cowboy, ride!
