Justin Miller, ACF, is the Founder and President of Green Timber Consulting Foresters located in Pelkie, Michigan. Established in 2001, Green Timber currently staffs eight foresters and serves clients throughout the Upper Great Lakes Region. Justin earned a B.S. in Forestry from Michigan Technological University (MTU) and was recognized as the 2017 School of Forest Resources and Environmental Sciences Outstanding Alumnus for his contributions to the forestry industry and students at MTU. A past president’s award winner, ACF Chapter vice president, and Chapter president, Justin is now president-elect of the national organization of ACF. On today’s show, Justin talks about how he got into consulting forestry, what he wishes he had learned sooner, and key advice for students considering this career choice themselves. “Get involved in clubs or associations and start networking and building those relationships early,” says Justin.
